Before Repair
This is an eight inch concrete sanitary sewer line that is eighteen feet deep. There was a crack just the other side of the joint that extends for about one foot. The District wanted to fix the pipe, but due to the depth and the fact that it was under a paved two lane road, conventional point repair was not a viable option. To dig up and repair this segment would have closed the road for at least a day and cost approximately $5,000 to $6,000. |

After Repair
Using the GPM C.I.P. Point Repair System, the District was able to save money and time, not to mention the road stayed open during installation. The cost for this type of repair is approximately $1,500 to $2,000 and takes less than four hours from start to finish. The district was so pleased with this repair that they are going to start doing all their point repairs with the GPM C.I.P. Point Repair System. |
